Evidence criminally implicating former President Barack Obama in the alleged “manufactured intelligence” documents behind the Russian collusion hoax against President Donald Trump has been referred to the Department of Justice and the FBI, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said Wednesday.

When a reporter asked Gabbard if the information implicates Obama in “criminal behavior,” she confirmed that the documents related to the case are being referred to the DOJ and FBI “to investigate the criminal implications of this evidence.” When asked clarification if that included Obama, she responded, “correct.”

Gabbard says that the evidence uncovered points directly to the former president.

“The evidence that we have found and that we have released directly point to President Obama leading the manufacturing of this intelligence assessment, there are multiple pieces of evidence and intelligence that confirm that fact,” Gabbard said.

The DNI described the alleged manufacturing of the intelligence documents as a “coup,” calling it “treasonous,” echoing similar comments from Trump.

“When you look at the intent behind creating a fake, manufactured intelligence document that directly contradicts multiple assessments that were created by the intelligence community, the expressed intent and what followed afterward can only be described as a years-long coup and a treasonous conspiracy against the American people, our republic, and an attempt to undermine President Trump’s administration,” Gabbard argued. “The implications of this are far reaching and have to do with the integrity of our democratic republic. It had to do with an outgoing president taking action to manufacture intelligence to undermine and usurp the will of the American people.”

Gabbard stressed transparency, then turned the tables on the media, imploring them to engage in “honest journalism.”

“There is irrefutable evidence that detail how President Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false … We’re here today because the American people deserve the truth,” said Gabbard.

“I’m not asking you to take my word for it. I’m asking you in the media to conduct honest journalism and the American people to see for yourselves,” she added.

Gabbard said that, according to her intelligence information, Russia predicted former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 presidential election, adding that Russia was holding on to damning health information on Clinton, which they chose not to release before the election.

“If Russia was trying to influence the election like Democrats said in order to boost Donald Trump, they’d have released the most damning information on Hillary prior to the election. They specifically withheld it because they thought she’d win,” Gabbard argued.

The DNI read a portion of her report, detailing Clinton’s mental well-being, as detailed in emails from the DNC.

“DNC emails that detail evidence of Hillary’s ‘psycho-emotional problems, uncontrolled fits of anger, aggression, and cheerfulness’ and a daily regimen of heavy tranquilizers,” she added.

The briefing comes hours after Gabbard declassified a 2020 House Intelligence Committee report, exposing “how the Obama Administration manufactured the January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment that they knew was false.”

On Tuesday, during a meeting with Filipino President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the Oval Office, Trump accused Obama of treason, calling the former president a “ringleader” in an alleged plot to delegitimize the outcome of the 2016 election.

“Look, he’s guilty, it’s not a question,” Trump told reporters. “This was treason, this was every word you could think of. They tried to steal the [2016] election, they tried to obfuscate the election, they did things that nobody has ever even imagined, even in other countries.”

Trump’s comments prompted Obama to respond via a spokesperson, calling the allegations “bizarre” and “a weak attempt at distraction.”

“Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one,” spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush said.

“Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes. These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio,” Rodenbush added.
